Tim Holtz Twelve Tags of 2013

3:08 AM
Hello!  I have been wanting to participate in the Tim Holtz  Twelve Tags of 2013 for a while now.  His blog is always so inspiring.  Those of you that watch me on you tube (user name: stampyra) know that I have a rather large collection of Tim Holtz products.  So, I've decided that I have no excuse not to play along with this challenge.  I made a similar, yet different tag to the one he posted for March.  I made the flower using a cut file on my Silhouette Cameo & a small punch for the center.  I think everything else is rather straight forward, but you never know. Please let me know if you have any questions.  Thanks,  JIL

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

9:42 AM
Happy St. Patrick's Day!  I'm wearing green & ready for a fun day.  Our favorite pub always has something great going on to celebrate being Irish.  We plan to spend a large part of the day there enjoying the live entertainment they have.  I finally finished my House Mouse card for today.  I decided to make a pop-up card with multiple layers.  After I designed it & got all the measurements correct, I cut everything out.  Then I thought to myself that I could make a cut file for pop-up's on my Silhouette.  Next time...

This card has a double purpose.  I made it for St. Patrick's Day & the House Mouse & Friends challenge # HMFMC140.  It's ribbon & pearls this week.  All of the images are colored with my Spectrum Noir's.  It's the first time I've used my Spectrum's on my beloved mice & they are sooo vibrant.  I have mostly older House Mouse images from Stampa Rosa & very few of them are labeled with anything but a number. Sorry about that.  Here are the colors I used: Faces TN1 TN2 PP2, Maxwell TN6 TN8, Amanda TN3 TN5, Monica GG1 GG2 GG3, Clovers JG1, Flowers PL1 Pl2

Tiddly Inks Clean And Simple Challenge

3:08 PM
The challenge at Tiddly Inks is to make a clean & simple card.  As you all know, my cards are not often clean or simple.  So, I gave it a try & was happy with the results.  I think the key to clean & simple is that it is some what up to the designer.  I used the Lilli Lolita digi image from Tiddly Inks.  I wanted to do an image with some braided hair.  It was way easier than I thought it would be.  I colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers in the following colors: Face TN2 FS4 TN3 PP2. Hair GB8 GB10 EB5, Dress & Shoes PL1 BP2 BP6.

Riley Color Challenge

6:35 AM
The challenge on the Riley blog this week is a color challenge.  You needed to use the colors blue, green & yellow.  I've been trying to simplify some of my cards a bit.  I know I can add too many embelishments.  So, I went with some banners & a simpler card for this challenge.  I am loving how it turned out.

The Riley golfing image is stamper with Jet Black Archial ink onto my usual cryogen white cardstock.  I just love how it sparkles.  I know most people use the memento black with alcohol markers, but I really love the crisper image I get from Archival ink.  If you use Archival ink, be sure to heat set it before coloring or else your image will smudge.  I colored Riley with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  He is colored with the following markers: Riley TN3 TN5 TN6 TN8, Hooves & Antlers EB3, Grass DG2, Ball BG1 BG2, Club IG3

Lucky Me!

11:36 PM
Here is my first St. Patrick's Day card for this year.  I have one other in the works, but I may or may not finish it.  I made this one for the Farm Fresh Friday Challenge on The Greeting Farm blog.  This week is Lucky Me.  I downloaded the Lucky Anya Digi image.  I am really getting into working with digi images.  They sure free up space in my stamp room.  I keep all of the digi images on a thumb drive.

Anya was colored with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  She was printed on cryogen white paper.  I used the following colors on the image: Face TN2 FS4 TN3 PP2,  Hair GB1 GB8 CG1 CG2 DG4, Dress DG1 DG2 DG4, Clover CB1 CB3 DG4, Hat CG1 CG2 CG3

Happy Birthday Jasmine

6:26 PM
My niece had a birthday this week.  I made her a girly card heavy on pink with touches of purple.  I used a super cute digi image from Tiddly Inks. It's called Annabell birthday.  Of course I used my Spectrum Noir's to color the image.  I have been loving the switch from the Copic brush tip to the Spectrum Noir bullet tip.

I am entering this card into this month's Spectrum Noir bling challenge.  As you can see, I used a bunch of different types of bling on this card.  I used the following Spectrum Noir colors: Face, TN2 TN3 PP2 FS4, Hair GB1 GB8 GB10 EB5, Dress PP3 PP4 PP5 PP6, Shoes PP3 PP4 PP5, Hat & Cake HB1 HB2 HB3, Candles CT4 OR1

Thanks for checking it out.  JIL
