Day 6

4:11 AM
Hi Guys,
I am running behind with my class projects.  I finished two tags from Day 6 & won't be able to do the last one right now.  Day 6 is techniques with the new Distress markers and the Specialty Paper.  I haven't aquired them yet.  So, I used my Tombo markers on the first two tags.  I'll add it in the future.  Here are the tags that I did.  JIL

Day 5

8:43 AM
Hi Guys!
I have been getting caught up with class.  I have finished day 5.  I'm almost finished with day 6, which was yesterday's class.  I have been busy around the house.  I finished labeling the sides of all of my Ranger ink pads.  Other than Brilliance & Colorbox Chalk inks, the bulk of my ink pads are from Ranger.  I just love the quality.  So, my entire collections of Distress, Archival & Adirondack dye & pigment ink pads are labeled by color!  Yippie!  I also did all three of my Jenni Bowlin inks.  lol! I've also been working on getting my stored items ready to go into the attic.  I have to sort through & purge 22 Rubbermaid tubs.  That is a job I plan to work on by doing two boxes a day.  Some will go faster than others, but I figure it's a great system to get them finished without driving myself crazy.  Once I finish that, we will be recovered from the move.  I'll know where everything is because it'll all be organized.  BTW- how did I end up with so many extra cords that seem to go to nothing?   See you tomorrow.  JIL

Day 4

8:14 PM

I love doing my homework for this class!  I got a bit side tracked over the weekend.  I took two days to organize in my stamp studio.  I am constantaly doing that, but I've been doing it way more since the move.  I decorated some of my utility items like my recycled paper holders.  I had three medium flat rate mailers with the tops cut off to hold my 12 x 12 paper pads.  I made one more and painted it with Ranger Black Gesso.   Then I decorated them with some Colorbok paper.  The12 x 12  paper wasn't long enough, so I punched out a deep edge Martha Stewart punch.  All of the paper is edged with Vintage Photo Distress ink.  I also covered the box that holds my chipboard scraps.  I'm really happy with how it all turned out.  I hope you enjoyed your weekend.  JIL

Day 3

10:16 PM
Can you believe it?  Two posts in a row.  Amazing!  Here are my tags from Day 3.  They're up a bit late.  I took the pics of my tags & they got erased.  I'm still not sure how that happened.  Like I had said, I am really enjoying this class.  Tim is giving so much information about his experiences with stamping as well as fun techniques.  Here are my three tags.  I'll be back tomorrow with today's tags.  JIL

Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 Class

2:04 AM
Can you tell I don't love blogging?  Well, I'm trying.  We'll see how it goes.  I am taking Tim's class & having a blast.  I wasn't sure how much I was going to learn because I have followed Tim from his start.  I have his book & video's, I've been to Ranger U twice, so I decided to take it for the fun of it.  Well,  I am still learning a bunch of things.  I've gotten out a bunch of my Ranger products.  So today was day two, but really the first day of techniques.  We did three tags.  I also managed to re-label my distress inks & the inker tools.  Tomorrow I plan to work on my Archival inks.  Then I will start on my Adirondact ink pads.  I have them all, so they may take a few days.  So, here are my three tags from today & my ink pads.  Just so you know, you can start the class whenever you want and do it at your own pace. I do plan to show some things on my youtube channel, username stampyra.  Thanks for checking out my post.  JIL
