FIESTA!

3:49 PM
I know I say every card was fun to create, but this card was really FUN to create!  There is a challenge to use the Martha Stewart fringe scissors on the Spotted Canary forum.  I got to thinking about the ways I could use the fringe scissors.  I wanted to use them in a unique creative way, and I think I did.  I made a pinata for a card.  It's your traditional donkey pinata.  I'm really liking it.  I cut the donkey shape out of white posterboard.  I tried to keep it simple.  Then I covered it with bright colors of tissue paper that were cut into strips with the MS frings scissors.  Then I added a google eye & a mane & tail.  Please, let me know what you think of him.  JIL

Club Posh May Birthday Card

12:46 AM
I'm a member of the Birthday Club at Club Posh.  Each month you send cards to the member's who are celebrating their birthday.  You get a bunch of great cards during your birthday month like I did in April.  Here is the card I did for May.  It is a stair step card like the one I made for my son.  I learned how to make it from my Stampin Up demonstrator Dawn here: http://dawnsstampingthoughts.typepad.com/dawns_stampin_studio/2010/04/awash-with-flowers-step-card-2-.html

Stamps: Inkadinkado-Cupcake & happy Birthday, Heidi Swap-Swirl, Stamp Camp-Linen background

Here's a picture of my youngest son, Jon.  He's 15.  It's a bit blurry, but he was smiling so I had to post this pic.
